About this Course

Have you ever wondered what fly fishing is all about? The City of Campbell River has partnered with instructor Nicolas Pisterzi, to teach an introductory course to beginning fly fishers! Nicolas created the popular high school program, Carihi Fly Fishing, years ago. He now is excited to bring his passion for conservation and love of the sport to others in our community! He will provide a general overview of fly fishing and lead you in learning new skills, which include casting, fly tying, knots, safety, conservation, etiquette, reading water, and so much more! Scheduled classes are held indoors and those who have a fly-tying kit, or fly rod, are encouraged to bring them for use.
